Found a killer deal on a dual port SFP+ 10 Gig network card on ebay for $16 Shipped ( NOTE: this card has a MSRP of $2,399 when it was new!! HP NC523SFP ), and a stupid deal for a 90 foot monoprice fiber cable for $9! I now have 10Gig internet to my desk! Fastest I can push at the moment is just over 6 gig a sec, and that is because the SSD array in the server is only in RAID1 and I am at the limit of SATA III at 6 gbps + Cache. I am most happy with the results! All my desktop storage is now remote on the server including my desktop! Everything is now backed up in real time.
