Electric pencil?

With everything in the world going towards electric, what about the humble writing instrument?

I set out to see if you could write with electricity alone, I used a high frequency high voltage dc power supply to generate a corona discharge at the top to slightly burn the paper and leave a mark!

And.. what happens if you crank it up to the max? Sparkle ink! haha
