Marvel Schebler VD-58 Carburetor rebuild.

As part of a new multi part project for the lab, ( that will be a slight secret for now ) Is a massive refurbishment project.

First part of that project was to rebuild the carburator!

Next step was to pull the intake and exhaust manifold, to get the carb out and tear it apart.

Once all appat it was time to make sure I remembered where everything went! Always take tons of photos.

Now time to soak everything, started with some old school Pine sol cleaner ( the OG kind ) Let things soak overnight, than did a soak in carb cleaner, than some other chemicals to clean special parts.

Now to the wire wheel!

Next step is to wait on the gasket kit I ordered and once in, I can install back on the engine and see if she fires! .. oh right.. the ignition system needs some work.. that is the next project! Stay tuned!

UPDATE 1/21/22 Carb rebuild kit came in, so I can now finish this part up! ( $8 on amazon! )
